Wave solder machine is a traditional through hole soldering process,it’s used all over the electronic factory because of it’s high production character. For example the S400 wave solder and the RW wave solder, with 1800mm preheating zone, it can run with conveyor speed 1400mm/min to 1800mm/min for mass production, if the board size is 300mm length, it can solder around 5 pcs per min. That’s about 300pcs per hour. It’s really a lot !!!


But, if you only need to solder 200 board in a day, it will be an embarrassing situation to choose right soldering process in present market. If you choose to use present wave solder, you will need big footprint, 500kgs solder bar for starting the machine, more than 25kw power supply required, big power consumption,big dross generated daily. If you choose to use selective soldering machine to do this job, like FLEX-400 , of course it can make a good soldering result, but it’s a machine more expensive than big wave solder machine, you also need to prepare N2 system like , the investment is not small. Unless your products has good profit margin or really high soldering quality required, otherwise the ROI will be really long.


So, to fit into this niche market, we design the DWS-200 machine, it has below features:
Q: Footprint ? Power supply? A: L1300mm x W580mm X H730mm Single phase 220v, 4.5kw This means you can use it on the table in your garage!
Q: How about investment for machine? A: Machine price is much much cheaper compare with present wave solder in the market.
Q: How about investment for material? A: Compare with present wave solder’s 500kgs solder pot, DWS-200 is only with 70kgs. Means you can order 100kgs solder for starting. 5 times less than big wave solder.
Q: What soldering quality can expect from this machine compare with your big wave solder ? A: The smart idea for DWS-200 is the conveyor system. Each time only one board in machine, It used stepper motor for conveyor which will move---stop---move during fluxing---preheating----soldering. Settable PCB moving speed on foaming section will lead to different fluxing result, PCB pausing time & preheating zone’s temperature will lead to different board preheating result, settable PCB moving speed on solder wave will lead to different soldering result. All these parameter will be programmable & savable. This is how to get same good soldering quality. Generally, it sacrifice some production to meet "less investment, less production, flexibility setting for soldering quality".
